Reza WINS at Thruxton, securing his maiden British F4 Victory!

After showing strong pace all weekend, Reza takes home the win in the final race of the weekend, securing his inaugural British F4 win on ‘home’ turf.

Something was definitely in the air this weekend as the British F4 Championship headed to Thruxton, Reza’s ‘home’ circuit for Round 4 of the series.

With a solid day of testing under our belts on the Friday, where Reza consistently featured at the top of the timings, ending the day comfortably in P2, confidence was high - and the atmosphere electric, at what was set to be another sell out weekend for the BTCC package.

Race One

After a successful qualifying which saw Reza qualify P4 for race one, P8 for the reverse grid race, and P5 for the final outing of the weekend - it was all to play for as the lights went out.

Following a strong start, he quickly moved up to P2 and began the charge towards 1st place, but a few laps into the race the red flag was brought out due to an incident on track. Following the restart he once again moved up to P2, but sadly on the last lap, he picked up a puncture which brought a swift end to an otherwise impressive start to the weekend.

Race Two

Starting P8 in the reverse grid race, Reza was able to set the fastest lap of the race, maintaining the record of being one of the quickest drivers in the series, and securing those all important points. After a stop start race, due to another red flag, he crossed the line in 7th.

Race Three

With the arrival of race 3, the third and final sprint of the weekend was upon us. Lining up on the grid in 5th, the pressure was on to charge up the order and secure a podium finish at his home circuit.

After a brilliant drive from lights to flag, Reza was able to secure the victory - making his inaugural visit to the top step of the British F4 podium, surrounded by friends, family and sponsors - hopefully serving as the perfect foundation for what is starting to look like a very promising season indeed.
