Reza Storms to Victory At Silverstone!

A mega weekend for Reza as he secures victory in the feature final race of the weekend, making two trips to the podium at the home of the British Grand Prix.

Fresh off the back of a thrilling weekend of racing at Thruxton, it wasn’t long until we were back on the road again, and enroute to Silverstone for Round 5 of the British F4 Championship.

The weekends action got underway early on Friday, with the cars heading out on track for Free Practice 1 & 2. The hard work put in by everyone at HiTech GP and by Reza himself over the past few months was clear to see, with Reza being consistently the fastest driver across the days running.

The excitement within the team was palpable as we rolled into Saturday and it was time to head out for qualifying. It was a mega session, which saw Reza punch in 3 of the fastest lap times, which saw him come away with his first pole position of the season, securing him a P1 start for the feature race a P2 start for Race 1 and P12 start for the reverse grid race.

Race One

Lining up on the grid for the first race of the weekend in 2nd, the pressure was on to get away cleanly and build a gap from the chasing pack, and that’s exactly what Reza did. Despite some hard challenging from the cars behind, Reza kept his cool and crossed the line in 2nd, making the first of what would become two podium appearances of the weekend.

Race Two

As Sunday came round, it was time to head out for Race Two - the reverse grid race - which saw Reza starting P12. After getting away well, he quickly made up a number of places, and despite some drama further down the field and a period under safety car he crossed the line in 8th - adding nicely to the weekends points tally.

Race Three

3 is the lucky number! Or should we say 4?! In the third and final race of the weekend, which saw Reza make his inaugural start in Pole position - he put on a masterful display of driving from lights to flag, eventually building a gap of over 1.7 seconds, claiming the fastest lap of the race, before the chequered flag came out. A fantastic result for an equally impressive drive.

We come away from Silverstone with Reza proudly sitting 4th overall in the drivers championship, with plenty more opportunities ahead that could see him climb up the rankings even further!

Reza is also the highest ranked year one driver in the championship standings and raising some eyebrows in the racing paddock.
