A Podium Finish for Reza at a Dramatic Weekend in Zandvoort!

Reza maintains his impressive podium streak at British F4’s first ever overseas competition, securing P2 in the third and final race of the weekend.

It was a dramatic weekend in Zandvoort for Round 6 of the championship which saw Reza make his second F1 circuit debut this season. The Dutch weather came out in force, bringing with it heavy rain which caused its fair share of drama, but despite the challenges thrown his way, Reza adapted well and Qualified P2 in a wet and changeable Qualifying Session and finished the weekend bringing home yet another solid result.

Race One

As the first race of the weekend got underway, Reza unfortunately stalled on the start which meant he dropped down to P21. Undeterred, he managed to fight his way back to 11th before the chequered flag dropped - an impressive drive by all accounts. If the race ran on for two more laps he would be firmly in contention for another points finish.

Race Two

The second race of the weekend was a slightly chaotic one, owing to on track incidents, and the somewhat unpredictable Dutch weather.

The race was always going to be hard especially with a P11 start (Reverse Grid) and despite a clean start at the beginning of the Race Two, the Red Flag was swiftly brought out due to a change of conditions as cars lined up on the grid with slick tyres, the Dutch weather had other ideas, providing a sizeable downpour of rain only a few moments into the race distance.

After a short break, racing resumed on a rapidly drying track, Reza worked his way up from P11 to P5 but after taking contact from another car Reza was pushed back to P24, putting him a lap down after making contact with the barrier. Despite a valiant drive which saw him close the gap down significantly before the race drew to a close, he wasnt able to move further up the order.

Race Three

An amazing end to the weekend at Zandvoort in Race Three, as Reza charged from the front row of the grid, managing to build a gap to the chasing cars behind, eventually storming over the line in P2 - maintaining his impressive run of podiums, and making him one of the most successful first year drivers in recent history of the British F4 Championship.

We come away from Zandvoort with Reza proudly sitting 3rd overall in the drivers championship, continuing his rapid progression up the drivers standings.

Next up we head to Knockhill where there are plenty more opportunities ahead that could see Reza continue his momentus charge up the order, and edge closer to 2nd place in the championship.
