Reza Seewooruthun Battles to Double P6 Finish in FRECA Round 2

British racing driver Reza Seewooruthun showed determination and strong race craft in Round 2 of the Formula Regional Middle East Championship, securing two P6 finishes in a weekend of intense battles and valuable learning.

Qualifying proved challenging, with Reza and the team struggling to find the ideal pace. However, quick setup changes ensured that he could fight back in the races.

In Race 1, starting from P10, Reza was impeded off the line and fell to the back of the pack. Undeterred, he worked his way back up the order, crossing the line in P11.

Race 2 provided a great opportunity, with Reza starting in P11—just missing out on reverse-grid pole. He made solid progress, climbing to P6 before a safety car neutralised the race, preventing further progress.

Race 3 was another strong showing, as Reza charged from P15 to P6, chasing down the Rookie Win before yet another safety car prevented a final push.

“Qualifying made things tough, but we worked hard to find solutions, and the pace in the races showed that we’re moving in the right direction,” Reza said. “Two P6 finishes and strong recoveries in each race give me confidence in the pace and the teams strengths”
